Gene Ladder is a ladder marker to which dyes (Bromophenol blue, Xylene Cyanol FF) and Glycerol (for increasing density) are added beforehand, and can be applied to agarose gel as-is.
Gene Ladder is used at 5 µl per lane and can be used as a mass marker by staining with ethidium bromide or the like after electrophoresis.
Storage Conditions | 10 mmol/l Tris-HCl(pH 8.0), 10 mmol/l EDTA, 20 mmol/l NaCl, 0.004%(w/v) Bromophenol blue, 0.004%(w/v) Xylene Cyanol FF, 10%(v/v) Glycerol |

This product is a DNA size and mass marker covering 100 bp-2,000 bp. A ladder is formed from 100 bp to 1,000 bp for each 100 bp, and since the DNA quantity of the short chain band is increased for better visibility, this product is best suited for the analysis of low molecular weightregion.
This product contains dyes and glycerol (for increasing density) and can be applied directly from the tube to an agarose gel as-is. Since the band pattern is simple and the 100 bp band is easy to recognize, this product is strongly recommend to those who are working in the low molecular weight region.

Each of these products contains small number of bands (4 or 6), and the bands are separated in a short electrophoresis run (10 min). Thus these DNA ladder markers are most suited for a simplified check. This product is recommended to those who want to know the electrophoresis results rapidly, e.g., for colony PCR.
