Product Description

Agarose HS is a product in which the precision of Agarose S type is enhanced and the gel strength is increased.
It is suitable for Southern blotting and the like.

・low EEO・DNase free, RNase free・Recommended Gel Concentration:　0.5 - 2 %・Nucleic Acid Fragment Separation Range:　0.5 kb - 30 kb

Applications

• Blotting
• Gel Electrophoresis for separation of DNA fragments
• Pulsed-Field Electrophoresis (1 - 2,000 kbp)
• Recovered DNA^*1

*1 Recovered DNA from preparative Agarose gels is checked that it can be used for downstream applications (cleavage by restriction endonucleases, ligation by T4 DNA ligase, E. coli transformation by ligated DNA.)

Usage

Example of a genetic diagnosis using mouse tail DNA

Sample

• tail DNA of a transgenic mouse^*2
• *2 The human transthyretin gene, which is the causative gene of familial amyloid polyneuropathy, was introduced.

Example of electrophoresis (0.8% Agarose HS)

1. The introduced human transthyretin gene
2. The junction part between the introduced human transthyretin gene and mouse chromosomal DNA
3. The junction part between the introduced human transthyretin gene and mouse chromosomal DNA
4.  The mouse MHC EKα gene (single copy) used as a control
